Why Los Alcázares for two
It's a Spanish working town, not a foreign-built resort. That means the restaurants are full of locals, the pace stays measured, and the light over the lagoon in late afternoon is the kind people fly to Greece for - but you can drive to it in forty-five minutes from Alicante.
The apartment is on a private golf estate so the evenings are silent. The town centre is five minutes by car, the Mar Menor shoreline a twenty-minute walk away. We've designed this page as a short itinerary you can copy.

- Day 1Arrive late afternoon. Wine and olives on the terrace, dinner at La Encarnación in town.
- Day 29 holes at Serena before lunch (or pool & book). Sunset sail from the marina.
- Day 3Drive to Cartagena. Roman amphitheatre, lunch on Calle Mayor, lighthouse at Cabo de Palos.
- Day 4Jumilla wine tasting and lazy lunch. Home for one last sunset on the lagoon.
