When are green fees cheapest?

January–February and October–November you'll pay 30–40% less than in the spring shoulder, and the courses are noticeably quieter.

Do I need to book tee times in advance?

In winter peak (Feb–Apr) yes - at least a week ahead at La Manga and Hacienda del Álamo. Serena Golf can usually accommodate walk-ups.

Is club hire available?

Yes at every course we list. La Manga has the best fleet (TaylorMade). Roda and Hacienda are cheaper at around €30–40 per round.

Can I get to courses without a car?

Honestly, no. A hire car is essential for golfing holidays here. Driving distances are short and the roads are easy.

What's the best multi-course package?

Most courses sell a Murcia Golf Pass - typically 3 rounds at different courses for around €180. Book through the Serena Golf clubhouse or any pro shop.

Why golfers come back

Murcia's Mar Menor area packs more golf into thirty minutes of driving than anywhere else in Spain. The reason is geography: flat coastal plain, mild winters, almost no rain. The reason people stay is that it's still a working Spanish town - not a built-up resort strip like the Costa del Sol.

Hacienda del Álamo - one of the best-conditioned courses in Spain - is 30. You can play a different course every day for a fortnight without checking out of your accommodation.
